The second part of our mission is compassionate caring.

We ground ourselves in Jesus’ second greatest commandment to love God and to love our neighbor. We love our neighbor through working for justice which includes both service and activism. Our priorities for this year are listed below.

Come join us, let’s care for our world together:

Immigration Justice

We all belong here, and we have to fight for belonging for immigrants.  We’re part of a network of interfaith congregations working for justice for immigrants.  We show up for prayer and protest at the ICE building, we travel to Sheridan to protest the detention of asylum seekers in the federal prison.

Eco-Justice

As a modern culture, we have failed at earth care. We confess our failure and we are joining together to do better. As a congregation we are currently participating in weekly eco-challenges, committing to care for the earth in small and sustainable ways.  Our Eco-Justice team is planning a book study and community pledge for towards our more lasting eco-justice commitments.

Homelessness & Housing Justice

A member of our church started Clay Street Table, a ministry to feed the hungry just like Jesus did.  They cooked 145,000 meals last year. We join them on the 4th Saturday of each month.
