CHURCH LIFE

Waverly Ukes: Practices are on the first and third Thursdays at 6:00 PM. New members are always welcome!

Waverly Book Group: Next gathering: Monday, August 11 at 6:30 pm, hosted by the Millars. The August titles are Incantation by Alice Hoffman and How to Read a Book by Monica wood.  Join us for lively discussion, even if you haven’t read the book.
September selections are Group Living and Other Recipes:  A Memoir by Lola Milhollad, and Fresh Brewed Murder by Emmeline Duncan–a novel set in Portland!

Waverly Rocks!  On August 8 at 8:00 pm, Waverly will host a benefit concert for the Trans Relocation Fund and Aid Network. Performances by joryhill, Bentabia Beacon Bezalel, Fly, Tanger! and Missine begin at 8:00 pm. The suggested donation is $5-$20, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Masks are required and provided if needed.

Church Council meets the third Wednesday of the month in Hyde Hall from 7:00 – 8:30.
Share Your Closet! The Waverly community continues to support the work of Hygiene4All by sharing gently worn clothing with the unhoused community of Portland’s Central Eastside.
